(For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensure it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those that do evil.) I Peter 3:10-12 This is the model for loving your life and having a good day. The tongue and the lips are where it all starts. Nothing evil spoken and no deception with your words. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those that love it will eat the fruit of their words. What they say will bring death or life to them. We judge others we our words, we think, but we are really judging ourselves. For our words sets up the spirit in which we will walk and the attitude of which we will go. We then depart from evil. Do not get caught up in evil, but flee from it. We are to do good, and not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. We are also called to be peacemakers, we are to seek peace and do all that is within us to ensure that peace. It is in the presence of peace the Lord lays out His wisdom. Remember He that judges does the same things. Do not despise the goodness and forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that it was the goodness of God that led you to repent.
